Thinking about abortion

It’s important to remember that abortion is a medical procedure. What types are available? What are the risks? You owe it to yourself to get all the facts so you can make an informed choice.

We know you may feel uncertain and you’re not alone. If you’re considering abortion, we can help you get the answers to questions like these:

  • Am I really pregnant?

  • How far along am I?

  • What if the father or my friends want me to have an abortion?

  • What if I’m not sure I’m ready to be pregnant?

  • What if I’m afraid to tell anyone I’m pregnant?

  • Do I have a viable pregnancy? Am I at risk for natural miscarriage? Or, do I have any conditions requiring immediate medical attention?

Before you decide on abortion services, please request an appointment for a free pregnancy test. We use a high-quality urine pregnancy test to detect HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), which is a hormone made during pregnancy. If the test is positive, the pregnancy should be confirmed by an ultrasound exam to ensure there is a viable, intrauterine pregnancy. We also provide free ultrasound services.

We care about you and can help you understand your pregnancy, discuss your health, and explain your choices, including abortion options.

Be gentle with yourself, and if you find yourself experiencing the potential emotional side effects of abortion or miscarriage, don’t go through it alone.
